John Ayling OBE

Chairman & Managing Director

John founded John Ayling & Associates in 1978 having been media manager of Garland Compton and media director of the Kirkwood Co. He was the co-founder & Chairman of AMI/AMCO and Council member of the IPA, Chairman (for the second time) & current Trustee of the Lord’s Taverners and ex-President of the Solus Club. An MCC member, he was on the England & Wales Cricket Board Marketing Advisory Committee.

In between John also manages to play veterans hockey and is a keen golfer being a member at Tandridge and Wisley, Past President of the advertising SWIGS society. Has run 3 London Marathons for the Taverners in the last 8 years. John was appointed an OBE for ‘services to sport’ in the Queen’s Birthday Honours 2007.
